Focus: Page Builder Basic

It’s been a pretty busy last couple of months since we released the new Platform. We’re getting about 30 new users a day in average and we’re reaching slowly but surely the thousand accounts.

One of our most popular application so far have been the Page Builder Basic, allowing you to customize easily your Facebook page thanks to 14 widgets. But let’s take a closer look at the features available.

The Design Editor

A Page Builder Free is a great way to start and allows you to see how the Page Buider works. Anyway, after playing around with it a little bit and if your needs are so, you’ll feel rapidly limited. One of the first feature that comes with a Basic Plan is the ability to tweak the design of each of your widget. Everytime you add a widget or edit one, you’ll see a new tab next to the first settings tab named “design”. This tab lets you edit all the colors of your widgets and you’ll even have the choice to display the border and header of the widget.

You’ll have the choice of the color of your background header, text, border and many more. You are totally free to customize your widget to get the design that you want. Also, removing the border and even the header of your widgets gives your page design a much nicer aspect since the “block” effect would be gone.

The Facebook tab name

While we offer a limited choice (4 names) during the installation of a Page Builder Free, it is completely up to you to decide about your Facebook tab name with a Basic Plan. Sometimes, having the name of your choice can be important, that’s why Page builder Basic lets you have your very own.

No limitation regarding your intern tabs

Page Builder Basic lets you create as many intern tabs as you want. This means that inside your Tigerlily’s tab, you’ll have the number of tab of your choice. You will be able to dedicate a tab for your rss feed, another for videos (youtube, dailymotion), another for your flickr photos, etc… You won’t have to put everything one the same page.

No Tigerlily Branding

With a Basic Plan it won’t even be noticeable to your users what application you’re using (unless you want to). Switching from a free to a basic plan will stop displaying the Tigerlily branded footer. You’ll be free as a bird.

Well, it’s not much. The monthly fee for a Page Builder Basic is 29$/month. But what’s best than trying it out before, see if it fits. Tigerlily Platform is now officially open

Today is a very special day for us. Until now, we’ve only been telling about our new platform to very few people, and see if there wasn’t anything to get fixed before really promoting it. But we figured that the best way was to get our product out there and improve it along the way, with the many feedback that we had and will have.

Tigerlily is now a platform

The Tigerlily Platform gives you access to our set of self-serve applications, all dedicated to help you acquire, engage and monetize your customers on social media. Basically, it works like any other platform. Simply create an account, choose an application, install it on your Facebook page and invite other user to join your account.

We are thrilled to release this platform and we’re constantly working on it to fix bugs and add requested features. One of the major change is that everything is now happening outside Facebook. For those of you who were familiar with the previous version of Page Builder (called FPMS), everything has now been redesigned and re-thought to work inside a dedicated dashboard, yours.

The Applications

Regarding the applications available, you have the choice between two applications: Page Builder and Coupons. The best way for you to learn about them would be to visit our website. They should soon be followed by a new application called Wall Manager once it will be ready.

We are thrilled to announce that Fubiz is now using Tigerlily Page Builder Basic on its Facebook page. Over the years, Fubiz succeeded in becoming one of the most famous website dedicated to creativity, trends and street culture.  Such a phenomenon that it has recently lunched its own iPhone app.

Tigerlily is compliant with the new facebook Promotions Policy

Facebook has just updated its promotions guidelines.

  • Companies no longer require prior written Facebook approval to administer a promotion on Facebook.
  • Companies no longer require a minimum media spend investment to support the promotion.

Even if they no longer need to obtain approval from Facebook to run a promotion entirely within Facebook, companies still need to comply with Facebook’s promotions guidelines :

  • NO Photo contests which require profile photo manipulation
  • NO Status update contests which require posting status updates for entry
  • NO Contest entries once a user has become a fan

Companies also still need to use a third party application to run their promotions. Tigerlily Coupons and Tigerlily Page Builder are perfectly matching Facebook requirements and we are proud to say that you can install them right now by signing up to the Tigerlily platform.

Netvibes and its partner Orange have just launched Djinngo, the world’s largest collection of mobile widgets.

At this occasion Netvibes and Djinngo have revamped their Facebook Fan Pages and used the Tigerlily FPMS. They came up with very neat designs.

Tigerlily’s new design, your new page

Dear Tigerlily FPMS User,

As pointed out in an earlier post, Facebook has announced major design changes. Consequently the look of your Tigerlily tab on will be modified. So that you can anticipate and update your design, here is more on changes to come.

Fan Page Tabs change to 520 pixels

Tigerlily FPMS app currently fits in a 760 pixels-wide tab and allows you to have 2 columns of widgets. Tab width will switch to 520 pixels very shorlty. If you have designed a nice header for your page, you might want to change its size to 520px. The diagram below shows proportionately how much space we are talking about. (Ouch, 31%)

 

Good News

Good news is, we have developed a smart design as an answer to facebook new rules. We will let you organize your widgets in two tabs instead of just one. Twice as much content and twice as many widgets on your Page !

We will share screenshots of the new Tigerlily FPMS design very shortly. Hopefully we will release the new design by the end of this week.

Tigerlily presents its Contest app with Citroen/Konbini and Ed Banger

Citroen and Konbini have teamed up to run a Tigerlily Contest over the weekend on Citroen fanpage. The lucky winner won a round trip to NY and a ticket to go to the Ed Banger Seven birthday party at Terminal 1.

Any field can be added or retrieved and fan info from facebook is automatically filled in so fans don’t have to bother to fill information already available. Contest is available in both English and French.

The Contest was launched at 7am on Friday and closed today at midday.

Over the weekend Citroen fans jumped. The app lets you invite your friends to participate as showed below.
